Oh No Vision

Any time I mention that I watch EuroVision people look at me funny, as if I must be mentally retarded and should probably be put down.

I used to think they were the crazy ones but this year I'm not so sure. No matter what the UK does, we always end up right at the bottom of the list. And you'd think that as the UK pays for the majority of the event we could rig the voting a little...

There were however some highlights. Terry Wogan getting more and more bitter as the votes were counted, the terrible jokes by the Eurovision hosts, and of course this wonderful entry by Bosnia.

They've shown our children horrific explosions, Japanese Animation and hardcore animated violence.

I've had this song on my playlist for some time now, taken from a best of Disney CD Collection.

It's taken me a while, this song is rather special to me, but I finally feel I know you well enough now to share it with you.

Anti-boredom Campaign

To begin with let me make something clear. Deep conversation I can handle. In fact I enjoy it, so much so that I paid out £200 for a 10 week counselling course to do it even better. It basically told me that I was good at listening, but it's good to be told nice things about yourself even if it does cost you money. That is the point of counselling after all.

However, getting someone into a state where they are happy to pour their hearts out is hard. I use to be able to engage in competent small talk with anyone, about anything, and more importantly used to be able to say positive things to myself.

Talking to people during lunch used to be a pleasure, even if I had never met them before, although I can't say for sure if it was such fun for them.

It is that kind of confidence that I am looking to regain, beginning with talking to the mirror.

While surfing through the blogosphere, which isn't as 'extreme winter sports' as it sounds, I came across the blog Words ,Words, Words an aggressive blogger with a serious rant on.

Everyone's a little bit racist!

These are troubled times. The world is at war. fights are breaking out. families dividing on themselves and millions crying in outrage all because of one person. One person who threatens our freedom, threatens our culture, and threatens our way of life.

Yes Jade Goody, the stupid, stupid girl, has caused quite a storm with some angry statements made in the BB house. Trouble is that everyone else has taken her stupidity for racism.

The odd thing is that the people who are against racism and prejudice are still happy to gather in mobs outside her house and throw bricks at her window.
